Blue/Green View technology operates at a selected wavelength of 495 nm, enabling efficient excitation of numerous compatible fluorescent DNA/RNA dyes. It is also suitable for selected fluorescent stains and fluorescent proteins. The included amber filter shield filters the LED light and provides a clear view of fluorescent bands. DNA bands can be excised directly from the gel, for example with a gel band cutter (e.g., [FastGene® Agarose Gel Band Cutter](https://www.nippongenetics.eu/en/products/electrophoresis-dna-rna/agarose-gel-band-cutter/fastgene-agarose-gel-band-cutter/)). The second side of the device features white LED illumination. It is suitable for colorimetric gels, Coomassie-stained protein gels, and colony plates.
