Tissue Grinder Mixy Professional is a motor-driven grinder for re-suspending pellets or disrupting soft tissue in microcentrifuge tubes. The motor is powered by a 3.7V battery and can be used cordlessly for up to 4 hrs.

Are the plastic pestels DNA/RNA free and it is possible to autoclave them?

We have no certification for the Plastic pestles (NG006) that they are DNA/RNA free. It is also not possible to autoclave these pestles. If you need a pestle which is autoclavable we recommend the Stainless Steel Pestle (NG011).

Can I use 1.5 ml and 2 ml tubes with the mixy?

Both tubes are working, so feel free to choose the desired tube.

    Mit dem Mixy Professional und Kunstoff-Pistillen (NG-006) haben wir etwa 200 getrocknete Pilze aufgeschlossen, um genomische DNA zu isolieren. Die Ausbeuten waren vergleichbar mit dem Einsatz von bashing beads.
    Die Methode war einfach und schnell zu implementieren und gehört jetzt zu unserem Standardrepertoir.
