The UP-X899MD is a compact A6 black-and-white thermal printer recommended for use with the FastGene^® FAS-X gel documentation system.
It processes both analog video signals and digital USB inputs, making it highly versatile and compatible with a wide range of imaging systems.
The printed images can be saved directly onto a connected USB flash drive for added convenience.

As the successor to the UP-897 series, this upgraded model maintains a compact design while offering improved ergonomics and new operational enhancements.
It features a larger LCD display for better readability and an intuitive joystick navigation system for easy menu control.
The advanced thermal printing technology ensures near-photo quality prints with fast output speeds, making it an efficient choice for medical environments.

  The dual cutting mechanism allows prints to be cut from the top or bottom. The blades are located at the top and bottom of the output slot. A smooth downward cut is possible even when the printer is installed under the ultrasound console. The newly designed cutting mechanism ensures even smoother operation and improves workflow efficiency.

• Saving still images to a USB drive
  The UP-X899MD can automatically save printed still images from digital and video inputs to a connected USB drive.

  A selection of analogue composite video and PC-friendly digital USB inputs allows flexible use with a variety of modality devices.
• Extensive PC compatibility
  A wide range of PC drivers for Windows 10 and 11 are provided for maximum flexibility. If you select compatible mode, you can choose the 898/897 driver.
• Wireless printing
  The optional UPA-WU10 wireless printing solution offers a simple, wireless connection alternative to USB cable connections for the UP-X899MD printer and other compatible Sony medical printers in the operating theatre or ultrasound room.
